rector
Father Gary began his tenure as the 15th rector of Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in October 2016. Prior to accepting the call to come to Saint Andrew's, Father Gary served as an Associate Priest at Christ Church Greenville for two years. A native of Upstate South Carolina, Father Gary received his undergraduate degree from Furman University in 1994 and then went on to Duke University, where he completed a joint degree in law and theology. When he later entered the ordination process, Father Gary spent an Anglican studies year at the School of Theology at the University of the South, where he ultimately completed a Masters in Sacred Theology with a Certificate in Anglican Studies.
Gary and his wife, Kacey, have three school-aged children and live — along with their dog, Newman, and several backyard chickens — in the North Main neighborhood of downtown Greenville.

The reverend molly mcgee short,
associate rector
Mother Molly received her undergraduate degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Furman University, where she was active in the Mere Christianity Forum campus ministry. She went on to earn her Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. During her time at Duke, she lived in the Franciscan Way, a Catholic Worker–style community devoted to daily Eucharist and shared meals with neighbors experiencing homelessness. After entering the ordination process in the Episcopal Church, she completed a Diploma in Anglican Studies at the School of Theology at the University of the South.
Prior to joining the Saint Andrew’s community in Greenville, Mother Molly served as Chaplain at St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School. In March 2026, she returned to the upstate to join our staff as Associate Rector at Saint Andrew's.
Molly and her husband, Michael have two sons and a black cat named Johnny Cash.
Lauren Bradley,
Parish Administrator
Lauren Bradley serves as Parish Administrator at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church, joining staff in April 2026.
Lauren grew up in Easley, South Carolina, and earned her bachelor’s degree in English from the College of Charleston. Prior to joining Saint Andrews, she worked as an Office Administrator, where she discovered how much she enjoys helping others and creating positive, supportive experiences for those around her. She considers it a win when she can make someone’s day a little brighter.
In her role at Saint Andrews, Lauren supports the daily operations of the parish and brings a thoughtful, caring presence to her work. Outside of the office, Lauren enjoys writing poetry, laughing with her husband, and spending time with her two beloved dogs, Birdie and Fern.
FRances Twomey,
Director of communications
Frances Twomey, Director of Communications, grew up here in Greenville. She has served in multiple church music and communication roles over the past 15 years. Frances and her husband moved back to the upstate in 2020 after serving in Atlanta, GA for a season. They have one son.
Mrs. Twomey has a Bachelor’s of Music in Worship (Anderson University) as well as two master’s degrees from Northern Seminary, a Master’s of Arts in Worship and a Master’s of Divinity. During her masters’ studies she grew her love of writing and communication. Frances is passionate about intertwining the beauty of art with the majesty and inviolability of faith in Christ, and she believes that effective and aesthetic communication is a vital part of ministry work.
Today, Frances is a musician, author, and creative. She is working on her second album currently which is part of a larger project on the intersection of faith and grief. When not working or playing music, Frances can be found exploring local coffee shops, sewing, or spending time outdoors with her family.

Leslie Boyette,
interim organist & choirmaster
Leslie Boyette grew up in Anderson, SC and recently returned to the Upstate after living and working in Atlanta for forty years. He began taking piano lessons at the age of nine and began organ lessons during high school. Leslie attended Furman University and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in 1985. He served as Organist for St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Greenville while attending Furman, then became Organist/Choir Director for Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Simpsonville. He moved to Atlanta in 1987 to attend the National Center for Paralegal Training, and has worked as a certified Litigation Paralegal in Atlanta since completing the program in early 1988. He returned to school in the 1990s and earned a Masters of Sacred Music degree from Georgia State University in 1997.
Before moving to Greenville in June 2026, Leslie sang with the Cathedral Choir and Schola at The Cathedral of St. Philip and served as a substitute Organist and Organist/Choirmaster for St. Anne's Episcopal Church, Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, Church of Our Saviour, The Church at Ponce and Highland, St. Luke's Lutheran Church, and The Cathedral of St. Philip. Leslie is a member of the American Guild of Organists and the Association of Anglican Musicians.
